I went to Texas A&M University for my bachelor's degree in forestry and ecological restoration. I graduated with highest honors, I spent three years tutoring for college athletes on campus. I also spent a semester tutoring in the writing center, and I was a TA for two years. I work for a school district as an environmental educator. I'm comfortable tutoring students in physics, English, essays, earth science, ecology, writing, middle school science, elementary school science, elementary school math, algebra, reading, life sciences, SAT prep, PSAT prep, ACT prep, music, and many other subjects. Teaching is very gratifying career for me. I appreciate the different learning styles that students have, so I always adapt my approach to meet that. I've developed a lot of strategies to help students who struggle with topics or think they are boring to become engaged and learn effectively. I provided encouragement and support, along with patience, and I break down topics into segments that are easier for students understand. In my free time, I like to hike, travel, do yoga, kickbox, garden, play music lessons, cook, read, paint, practice photography, scuba dive, and volunteer.
